Quercy

Quercy is part of the Occitanie region and located in the heart of the Southwest France between the Auvergne and Périgord.

Home to some of the most beautiful villages in France, such as Rocamadour and Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, amazing ancient caves such as Pech Merle and the Gouffre de Padirac,  and an area known in France where you can eat very well.

Local specialities include the eau-de-vie de prune (a clear fruit brandy), delicious walnut oil and cakes, an abundance of fat ducks, woodland grazed lamb, truffles, saffron, Quercy melons and the Rocamadour “cabécou” goats cheese.  Of course, there is the also the wine – AOC Cahors, AOC Coteaux-de-Quercy and IGP Côtes du Lot.
